MMMF – Grand Opening of The Compound Music Venue!

PHOENIX, Ariz.—The Compound Grill, Arizona’s newest live music venue and restaurant, will open its doors this Saturday, Nov. 7th with a performance by Jackie Greene. Greene’s bluesy, folk guitar riffs and smooth vocals make this singer/songwriter a great representation of the type of music acts that will soon be performing at the recently renovated 8,000 square-foot space.

Founded by the producers of the McDowell Mountain Music Festival, The Compound exists to provide the same result—a merge of great food, music and culture.

“We wanted to create a public venue that brings the elements of community, food and music together in one,” says John Largay, owner of The Compound Grill and founder of the McDowell Mountain Music Festival. “Like the Festival, The Compound will provide a unique experience that is cultivated when people join together to have a good time.”

In addition to Greene, The Compound will welcome a variety of local and national musical acts to perform each month; menu items will include an array of Southwest “fresh” selections from street tacos and burritos to organic sandwiches, wraps and hearty pastas.

Tickets for Jackie Greene’s live performance available through www.ticketforce.com or by phone at 480-840-0457. Tickets are $20 presale or $25 at the door. Greene will take the stage at 9 p.m., doors open at 8 p.m. Constructed by Wespac Construction Inc., The Compound is located at 7000 E. Mayo Blvd. in Phoenix (loop 101 and Scottsdale Road.)

What’s In Store?

If you left the Festival weekend empty-handed without a concert t-shirt, bag, or onesie… we now have the official MMMF Store up and running here! So grab that ladies tank just in time for summer!

We would also like to thank our sponsoring Festival Partners for believing in our cause, in the culture and the inspiration of live music. Without your continued support, this would not be possible. So, THANK YOU for being a part of something that resonates with many: the concert goer; the vendor selling handmade crafts; the children and families from Phoenix Day and Golden Gate that will continue to benefit from your support. We are truly thankful.

If you are interested in becoming a partner for 2010, it’s never to soon to start planning. Please contact Kelly Ehlers, Director of Corporate Sponsorship at kehlers@wespacconstruction.com.
